Carried Away
January 17th, 2013
I’ve been pretty much glued to my computer screen lately as I work on several different graphic design projects. Today I started two more projects, but felt I just had to take some time out to paint. So, I did…
Carried Away – 9″x12″ – Acrylic on canvas – Completed 1/16/13

This little painting is a study for what will be a MUCH larger piece. I’m hoping to be able to share that soon.
Until then, Happy Creating!

as your page appeared on my screen i heard myself say WOW!! this is powerful don, strong and powerful!! i’m so drawn to this head! i’m glad you took the time away from your computer, and i’m so looking forward to seeing the larger piece. again…WOW!
and thank you so much for your very generous comment on my blog. it’s very much appreciated.
take care and be well.
How we can be drawn away from art. I love the title of this work as well as the energy it conveys. Don’t you get carried away with all that computer work!
Suz… Thank you, so much! It’s easier to take time away from the computer when the things I do away from it are so much fun.
The large piece is now in the works…
Margaret… Thank you. I try not to get too drawn away by the computer work, but when it helps pay the bills one does what one must.
Thankfully, I love the design work almost as much as I do the painting. So that helps.

Love the colors and the emotion of this piece – I can’t believe it’s a study!
Thanks, Dan… The piece that this one was a study for is now coming along nicely. I hope to post on it in the next couple of days.
