Gunwitch: The Witch Hunts

January 29th, 2013

I’m excited to be able to finally unveil one of the graphic projects I’ve alluded to over the past couple months. My brother, David Michael, has just released his latest novel. Here is the book cover I created for him…

In the midst of all my design projects I’m still finding time to paint. I haven’t finished anything lately, but that’s because I’m in the middle of painting another Ginormous Heart to help raise awareness and money for the Las Vegas Chapter of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This is the 3rd year that I’ve had the honor of taking part in this wonderful program. This is a detail of where I wrapped up painting last night…

I still have a long way to go on this. It’s a major undertaking, but it’s for a great cause.

Happy Creating!

I loved seeing the painting even before you shared it was a book cover, definitely eye catching. And good look with that ginormous heart, size does matter!

Robin… Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed both the painting and the cover. As for the heart, its large size and sculptural shapes add up to an exacerbating challenge at times.

Hi Don! I feel like a stranger to your page- I haven’t commented for so long I actually had to type in my name and email again! I feel like such a slacker friend. At any rate- it’s not about me, it’s about YOU!!! Look at what is going on in your world and all you have accomplished. You are an inspiration- you took those lemons that were dealt to you a few years ago and not only turned them into lemonade, but I think you actually made a lemonade/champagne spritzer!!! 🙂

    Fantastic paintings!

Nicki… Bless you! Yes, it’s been an interesting ride, tough at times, but rewarding none-the-less. It really helps that I love what I do. 🙂 As for strangers, I’m afraid I rank in that category, as well. I have been quite remiss in keeping up with you and all my other art buddies. I’ll try to do better… Thank you!
